Up Out Of The Water

I ain’t trying to get free no more

I am free, I am free indeed, I’m freed up…

Up, up, up out of the water and full of life

I’m full of Christ, not wandering around, I’m saved and found

Let me expound on it, I’m not captured by sin no more

I’m not addicted, not down, not full of darkness, not bound

God sparked it, so I embark in it

On to great things to do that which is great in me to move

In the power of The Holy Ghost to bring God glory

Tell the story thats old but fresh and brand new, and it stands truth

You can’t find high in a bag of weed, it’s time to fly

Above it, we’re done with, the dumb stuff, let’s run in…His name…and never look back.

“After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭NLT

Water Baptism is an external sign of an internal saving Grace. Our faith in Christ, as a response to that grace, sets us on higher ground in Him. When we get born again, we are literally transferred out of the kingdom of darkness and into God’s kingdom. We become God’s Kingdom kids. The precious Holy Spirit of God comes to seal our spirits as Jesus takes up residence inside of us, and we are set free. When we ask God, The Holy Spirit baptizes us and we become full of His presence, power and boldness. We are no longer bound. We are uninhibited to walk and talk with the creator of the universe from that moment on, citizens of Heaven residing on earth. The power of sin and death is broken in our lives because Jesus shattered it. When we receive Him, we receive everything He died and rose to give us. We have come up out of the water…conquerers to conquer every bit of the race He’s called us to run.

At the moment that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, we are (Our Identity):

1. Brand New.

“For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:4‬ ‭NLT

‬‬

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

2. Free.

“Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” “But we are descendants of Abraham,” they said. “We have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean, ‘You will be set free’?” Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.” ‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-36‬ ‭NLT

‬‬

FREE in the Greek is el-yoo-ther-o'-o which means to make free; set at liberty from the dominion of sin.

Strong’s Definitions: to liberate, that is, (figuratively) to exempt (from moral, ceremonial or mortal liability): deliver, make free.

3. Blessed.

“Blessed and worthy of praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ,” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭AMP

‬‬

“In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:13‬ ‭NKJV

‬‬

“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.” ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭1:20-22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

4. Forgiven.

“For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:18-19‬ ‭NKJV

‬‬

“having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:5-7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

5. Healed.

“Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:4-5‬ ‭NKJV

‬‬

“He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross [willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice], so that we might die to sin [becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin] and live for righteousness; for by His wounds you [who believe] have been healed.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:24‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Who forgives all your sins, Who heals all your diseases;” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭103:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

6. Accepted.

“to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When we understand that we are accepted, we come boldly before Father God without fear.

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭NKJV

‬‬

“There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love].” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Go Boldly,
