Doing The Most

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written: “He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.”
II Corinthians 9:8-11 NKJV
God has done the most for us and is doing the most as He intercedes forever for the saints. He has saved us, making us whole and complete in Him, lacking nothing. As God has poured His grace out on us abundantly in Jesus, then in Jesus, we should be doing the most for others. As we tap into what we’ve been given, we give. We are generous in grace and have a never ending supply to draw from. When we see and receive all of His doing, we can then go do.
“But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”
Hebrews 7:24-25 NKJV
Uttermost in the Greek is pantelēs which means all complete, perfect, completely, perfectly, utterly.
In Christ we are complete, lacking nothing. He has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness, so from an abundance for every good work, we work in faith. Our works in faith indicate whose we are and reveal that we know Him and what He’s done. Let's go about doing the most in Him for others, because He has done and is doing the most for us!
Ways that we can be equipped for doing the most:
1. Know God.
“from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
Ephesians 3:15-19 NKJV
““I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
John 15:5 NKJV
2. Know who we are in Christ.
“You shall also be a crown of glory. In the hand of the Lord, And a royal diadem In the hand of your God.”
Isaiah 62:3 NKJV
Glory in the Greek is tiph'ârâh which means beauty, splendour, glory, beauty, finery (of garments, jewels), of rank, renown, as attribute of God, honour (or nation Israel), glorying, boasting (of individual), ornament (abstractly or concretely, literally or figuratively), beauty (-iful), bravery, comely, fair, glory (-ious), honour, majesty.
Royal in the Greek is melûkâh which means kingship, royalty, kingly office.
God sees His kids as a crown of glory and a royal diadem in His hand. He calls us beautiful attributes of God, brave and majestic royalty, His renown and honored people that hold a kingly office. He calls us blessed, and who we are because of who He is in us and what He’s done for us. He calls us salt and light, a royal priesthood. We are those who are filled with all the fullness of God by the revelation of His love for us. Therefore, we must know who we are in Christ so that we can be like Him in all of our 'doing the most'.
“Indeed the Lord has proclaimed To the end of the world: “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Surely your salvation is coming; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him.’ ” And they shall call them The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord; And you shall be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.”
Isaiah 62:11-12 NKJV
““You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:13-16 NKJV
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”
I Peter 2:9-10 NKJV
Peaceful and Fine
Father I love you, you loved me, you love me, you love me
That revelation is lovely and fills me with the heat to thrill beats
This passion consumes me, glorying your name, flying high to ignite righteous flames
I wouldn’t hide out in night’s veins, I go bold in the light’s rains
Lord you reign, rain on me, your mercy and goodness follow me all the days of my life
You engage me, You saved me, you are magnificent and wise
Lord your eyes, I wanna look in em to book time to relax my mind
Think confined to your Word to define my nerves, peaceful and fine

3. Submit ourselves.
“Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.”
Ephesians 5:17-21 NKJV
Submitting there in the Greek is the word hupotassō which means to subordinate ; reflexively to obey: - be under obedience (obedient), put under, subdue unto, (be, make) subject (to, unto), be (put) in subjection (to, under), submit self unto.
Refusing to submit ourselves to one another in the fear of God by rejecting true spiritual wisdom will hinder our equipping. However, submission through godly wisdom puts us in a position to receive and grow. Godly submission then is proper and necessary in the church as well as the home. It is a part of humbling ourselves before The Lord that he would exalt us in due time.
The Hinderance:
“For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.”
Romans 10:3 NKJV
The Equipping:
First submit to God.
“But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
James 4:6-7 NKJV
Then submit to one another.
“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,”
Ephesians 4:11-12 NKJV
“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,”
Ephesians 5:22-26 NKJV
